How much does private labelling actually cost vs standard?
The extra cost is very low small - approximately $3 to $8 per metric tonne depending on design complexity and bag type (PP woven or BOPP laminated). On a 25 MT container, this represents $75 to $200 total extra cost. In return, you gain the ability to sell 5–15% above generic rice pricing. The ROI is very rapid.
What if I don't have a logo or design?
No problem. Draba Ventures can help you create a simple, professional design for your bags small - brand name, colours, standard layout. This basic design service is free for orders of 3 FCL or more, and modestly priced for first orders. Simply share your brand name and preferred colours and we'll propose a design.
Can I see a sample of the bag before confirming?
Yes. We always send a digital proof of the bag for your approval before launching production. For larger orders (3 FCL or more), we can send a physical bag sample by DHL before mass production begins. Approval is mandatory before any printing commences.
Does private labelling complicate customs documentation?
No. The customs documentation is identical to a standard order. The only difference is that the product description on the invoice and packing list will mention your brand name and bag design. All origin information (India), variety and certification details remain the same.
Can private label and standard bags be mixed in the same container?
Yes, technically possible but it complicates documentation. We recommend separate containers: one private label for your retail distribution channel, and one standard for your wholesale market. This simplifies customs clearance and stock management.
